Get the most out of your digital music
Have you ever thought, boy it would be great to listen to my CDs that I have stored on my computer throughout my house? Well there are many options to choose from, it's just a question of finding the right fit for you. If you are looking at listening to it in several parts of your house there is something like Sonos.
Sonos allows you to wirelessly transmit your music that is stored on your computer to units and speakers throughout your house. All you have to do is plug in some speakers to the Sonos unit and pick the songs you want to listen to on the iPod like controller and your off and listening. You can even listen to music from online music services like Napster and Rhapsody if you subscribe to those.
Another option is Crestron. Not only will Crestron allow you to listen to your music wherever you want, similar to Sonos, but it gives you the added ability to control your home theater, your lights and even your thermostat!!! It has a great visual interface that makes everything easy to use. The possibilities are almost endless in what you can control with it.
If you are thinking about upgrading your home theater receiver there are also new receivers out there that allow you to plug into your home network and access your music files that way also.
So as you can see there are many options available to you, it all depends on how and where you want them played. Budget has a little to do with it also. So rip those CDs, put them on your iPod and enjoy them throughout your house too. Now you can torture everyone in your house with your entire Celine Dion collection no matter where they are!
